A new UK ambassador to Slovakia HE Judith Macgregor presented her credential to the Slovak president on Thursday. Pculiarly, Macgregor's husband John is Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Republic of Austria.
I wonder if this is a world's first (although I have no way of checking) - husband and wife as ambassadors in two neighbouring countries.
Speaking to journalists at the Presidential Palace, Ambassador Macgregor displayed some knowledge of Slovakia and a sense of humour. She also allegedly speak great Slovak.
